KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 18): Former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak has been questioned by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission again today -- the sixth time he has been summoned by the anti-graft body -- to answer questions related to its investigations into 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB).

According to news portal MalaysiaKini, quoting sources, Najib was summoned again to have his statement recorded on 1MDB's payments to International Petroleum Investment Company (Ipic).

"He was called again today following new findings made by investigators probing 1MDB case," a source was quoted as saying.

Najib reportedly arrived at the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya at 10am and spent over three hours there today, to facilitate investigations concerning abuse of power to receive gratification.

His session with the anti-graft busters today was a continuation of Tuesday's session, the news portal wrote, when he spent about seven hours with them.

Najib is also expected to face more 1MDB-linked charges soon, the sources said. He is currently facing 32 charges of money laundering and abuse of power, 25 of which are related to 1MDB. The remainder seven are related to 1MDB's former subsidiary, SRC International Sdn Bhd.
