<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Bukit Aman CID Anti-Money Laundering division chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Khalil Azlan Chik has confirmed with the English daily that the police carried out the raid on Feb 19 over investigations of the 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) affair.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>The report also said that three cars and about RM49,000 were seized during the raid.</p></div><div class=inPageAd id=div-gpt-ad-inpage></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Ng, who is facing charges linked to 1MDB in the US and Malaysia, recently decided not to challenge the US Department of Justice's (DoJ) application for him to be extradited to the US.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Home Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin later clarified that Ng’s extradition to the US will only be carried out after his cases in the Malaysian courts are completed.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>“So it is likely that Ng’s extradition will have to be postponed because priority is on his cases in Malaysia,” said Muhyiddin.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p><em>The Edge Financial Daily</em> had reported on Jan 23 this year that in December last year, Ng claimed trial to four charges here of abetting Goldman Sachs in selling guaranteed notes and bonds worth RM6.5 billion belonging to 1MDB's subsidiaries by omitting material information and publishing untrue statements.</p></div>
