KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 18): Tadmax Resources Bhd said today that it is not aware of the Malaysian government having terminated the company's 1,000MW-1,200MW power plant project in Pulau Indah, as reported by The Edge Malaysia. Tadmax said it has not received any termination notifications for the project.

"We refer to the above-mentioned article that appeared in page 21 of The Edge Malaysia issue covering 16 February 2019 to 22 February 2019, released on 16 February 2019, which reported that the Government of Malaysia has terminated Tadmax’s 1,000MW-1,200MW power plant project in Pulau Indah.

"Tadmax is not aware of this alleged development. Further[more], Tadmax wishes to notify that to-date, it has complied with all the requirements of all relevant government agencies and has not received any notifications of termination. Tadmax is of the opinion that the above article has no basis," Tadmax wrote in a Bursa Malaysia filing today.

Tadmax said it will make the appropriate announcement for immediate public release in a timely manner, upon further material development on the power plant project.
