KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 2): Aminuddin Yusof Lana has been appointed PDZ Holdings Bhd’s new chairman and managing director for six months, effective Jan 1.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, PDZ said former managing director Ahmad Nazim Abdul Rahman has been redesignated as non-executive director of the company.
“Aminuddin Yusof Lana, who was formerly a non-executive director, has been appointed as managing director of PDZ for an interim period of six months from Jan 1, 2015,” said PDZ, which is in the liner business providing shipping services.
Ahmad Nazim is also group CEO of Pelaburan Mara Bhd, overseeing the group’s direct investment, fund management and financial services activities.
“He was previously CEO of a regional telecommunication group and had served as president director of its Indonesian subsidiary, responsible for the group’s telecommunication infrastructure business in the region,” said PDZ.
Ahmad Nazim currently sits on the board of directors of National Bank of Abu Dhabi (M) Bhd, and serves as chairman of its risk management committee and remuneration committee.
“He is also a member of the board of UDA Holdings Bhd, PMB Investment Bhd and Singapore-based private equity fund management companies, Basil Partners Pte Ltd and Al Masah Capital (Asia) Pte Ltd,” PDZ added.
PDZ closed half a sen or 3.57% higher at 14.5 sen today, giving it a market capitalisation of RM126.05 million.
