KUALA LUMPUR (March 11): APFT Bhd said today that it had on last Monday (March 4, 2019) received a written requisition from four shareholders owning a combined 11.26% stake in the company, to convene an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) to remove existing directors and to appoint new ones.

In a Bursa Malaysia filing today, Practice Note 17 company APFT said the four requisitioners are Heng Yong Kang @ Wang Yong Kang, Tan Pow Choo @ Wong Seng Eng, Koh Boon Poh and Tan Bee Yook. 

They hold an aggregate 151.09 million shares or 11.26% stake in the company, the flight training provider said.

According to APFT, the requisitioners are seeking to remove the company's existing directors, namely Laxmi Devi A/P Murugan, Logonathan A/L Vadivelu and Datuk Mohd Ismail Hamdan. The requisitioners had also proposed Siva Kumar A/L Kalugasalam's appointment as an executive director, it added. 
 
"The board of the company is seeking legal advice on the matter. Further development on the above matter will be announced to Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd in due course," APFT said.
