KUALA LUMPUR (April 18) : The Datuk Seri Najib Razak SRC International Sdn Bhd trial enters critical stage today as Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) investigator Ahmad Farhan Sharifudin is asked to bring the blackberry and other communication between three senior Ambank officers and 12 individuals listed by the defence including Low Taek Jho, also known as Jho Low.

The three Ambank officers included Joanna Yu, Krystale Yap and Daniel Lee.

The defence led by Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah and Havinderjit Singh had asked for communications in the form of blackberry messages and emails between the three and the 12 individuals following leaks of the conversation.

The conversation leaks were published in the best seller book “Billion Dollar Whale” where transcripts of purported conversation between Yu and Jho Low was published.

The defence also complained of leakages in the BNM raid on July 6, 2015 when it was reported in The Wall Street Journal.

Following that High Court trial judge Justice Mohd Nazlan Mohd Ghazali allowed the defence application on arguments of relevancy and directed Ahmad Farhan to bring the blackberry and other forms of communication transcripts that were seized by BNM.

Ahmad Farhan's cross examination will take most part of today's session and the next witnesses are likely BNM officers and possibly Ambank Jalan Raja Chulan branch manager R Uma Devi.

The Edge is bringing the trial involving Malaysia's highest ranking politician who led the country for nine years live.
