KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 28): Traditionally, corporate events and business retreats have been limited to stuffy hotels and boardrooms, but Desaru Coast Destination Resort has decided to switch things up with "Corporate Events, Reimagined", a programme that redefines meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) packages.

As a 4,000-acre holiday haven, Desaru Coast has hotels — Hard Rock, The Westin, Anantara and One&Only — as well as attractions for all, such as the Adventure Waterpark and The Els Club Desaru Coast.

"Corporate Events, Reimagined" allows businesses to craft bespoke options for their meetings, networking dinners and team building exercises.

By taking things from the boardroom to the beach, for example, it gives people a chance to recharge their batteries, reconnect with their colleagues and raise out-of-the-box ideas.

Partake in mangrove tours, beach walks, bonfires, as well as nature strolls on a golf course, and see how these unusual experiences can bring about productivity outside your typical workspace.

Other stories to look out for in this issue include an exclusive drive in the Rolls-Royce Ghost Extended; a chat with Tiffany & Co Malaysia’s retail director Cesarine Lim; and a recount of this year's MercedesTrophy. Whet your appetite with stories on award-winning chef Adu Amran’s collaboration with Datuk Ramli Ibrahim; the recently held Dior Café; and Johor-based Kedai Kopitiam Otai, which peddles locally-inspired specialties.

For those looking to start their festive year-end shopping early, let our annual Gift Guide suggest some thoughtful and luxurious presents — all sorted according to colours for your convenience.
