KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 13): The full list of zero-rated items will be announced tonight, said Ministry of Finance Secretary General Tan Sri Mohd Irwan Serigar Abdullah.

"The list is being gazetted in Parliament today and will be released tonight," he told reporters on the sidelines of the post-Budget dialogue organised by the Malaysian Economic Association this afternoon.

"We have already decided and announced in the Budget which items will be zero-rated, standard-rated and exempted," he added.

The list of items is expected to be available on the Attorney General’s Chambers’ website tonight.

Meanwhile, Mohd Irwan said he did not agree with some feedback that said Budget 2015 was unexciting.

"There are a lot of things [in this budget] to sustain economic growth in terms of private investment and incentives provided... these strategies are inclusive in terms of boosting growth and ensuring the welfare of the rakyat," he said.
