KUALA LUMPUR (June 9): Shares of glove makers continued to rise in early trade today, after ranking among Bursa Malaysia’s top gainers yesterday on lower latex prices.

At 10.41am, Kossan Rubber Industries Bhd and Top Glove Corp Bhd were the third and fourth largest gainers, respectively. Kossan was up by 17 sen or 2.69% at RM6.5 per share, while Top Glove gained 14 sen or 2.44% to trade at RM5.88 per share.

However, Hartalega Holdings Bhd was among the top 20 decliners in the morning, shedding 4 sen or 0.57% to trade at RM6.96, after surging to a record high of RM7 per share yesterday. The counter had seen 276,700 shares traded.

Supermax Corp Bhd also fell 2 sen or 0.96% to RM2.06, on 868,700 shares traded in the morning.

Meanwhile, Careplus was among the top 5 most actively-traded stocks, seeing as many as 15.47 million shares exchanged at 10.48am.
