KUALA LUMPUR: Closed-end fund icapital.biz Bhd has adjourned its annual general meeting (AGM) to another day, to deal with the unfinished business of the reappointment of Tunku Abdul Aziz Ibrahim as its director.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, icapital.biz said its AGM, scheduled on Saturday (Oct 11), has been adjourned with the consent of the meeting, to a date, time and place to be determined by its board of directors later.

The filing read that the adjourned AGM is to deal with unfinished business, namely Resolution 4, as set out in the notice of the AGM.

The shareholders of icapital.biz had approved the resolutions 1 to 3 at its AGM held on Saturday.

A quick check on icapital.biz’s notice of AGM showed that under the special business item, Abdul Aziz, “who is over 70 years old and retiring in accordance with Section 129(2) of the Companies Act 1965”, is to be reappointed as a director.

Abdul Aziz, 80, is an independent non-executive director of icapital.biz.

Previously, he was an advisor of Bank Negara Malaysia, as well as the group director of Sime Darby Bhd.

He was also formerly the national vice-chairman of the Democratic Action Party of Malaysia and a Senator.
