KUALA LUMPUR (May 4): Individuals who need to cross district or state borders (Selangor-KL) to get their Covid-19 vaccination at the designated vaccination centres (PPV) will be allowed to do so, according to the National Covid-19 Immunisation programme coordinating minister Khairy Jamaluddin.

In a statement today, Khairy said such individuals only need to show their appointment details – either on the MySejahtera app, website or SMS – when passing through police roadblocks.

“They do not need to apply for an inter-district or inter-state permission letter from the police,” said Khairy, who is also the Minister of Science, Technology & Innovation.

His statement came after it was announced that six districts in Selangor, namely Hulu Langat, Petaling, Gombak, Klang, Kuala Langat and Sepang, will be put under the Movement Control Order (MCO) from May 6 to 17.

According to the National Security Council (NSC)’s website, the movement of people in areas under MCO is only allowed for the purchase of daily necessities, medical services or for official government work.

Crossing district and state borders is not allowed without permission from the police.
