KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 27): Manipal Hospitals Klang has been renamed as Bukit Tinggi Medical Centre (BTMC).

In a statement on Friday (Nov 26), Ramsay Sime Darby Health Care (RSDH) said the change in name came after its 100% acquisition of the hospital earlier this year.

It said the rebranding of the 220-bed hospital reflects the group’s business strategy of distinguishing its internationally-certified hospitals according to their locations.

RSDH acting group chief executive officer Peter Hong Kah Peng said BTMC is an excellent addition to the group’s network of facilities and will continue to set the benchmark for comprehensive healthcare services in Klang.

"Renaming the hospital according to the neighbourhood it exists in not only creates a distinctive identity, but also helps the facilities to remain connected to the community it serves," he said.
