The serviced apartment component of MH Platinum 2 Residences, a mixed-use development in Setapak jointly developed by MH Group and Platinum Victory Holdings Sdn Bhd, has been fully sold since its launch in October last year.

“Inspired by influences from the East and West where courtyard dwellings have historically provided families with privacy, MH Platinum 2 Residences intends to provide residents with a private enclave — a natural retreat from the heat, glare of the sun and bustling city life,” MH Group managing director Datuk Koh Chui Ming tells City & Country in an email.

Sitting on a 4.72-acre leasehold parcel, MH Platinum 2 Residences is a RM682.1 million development that will also consist of a government affordable-housing component known as Merdu Residensi Wilayah, as well as a retail component. It is scheduled to be completed by June 2025.

The serviced apartment component will comprise three 40-storey towers, offering a total of 1,254 serviced apartment units with built-ups ranging from 663 to 857 sq ft in 2- or 3-bedroom plus 2-bathroom layouts. The 857 sq ft units are dual-key ready. The selling prices for the units start at RM319,000.

Merdu Residensi Wilayah, meanwhile, will offer 556 units with a built-up of 806 sq ft each in a 41-storey tower. Each unit comes with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Since its launch at RM300,000 each on April 22 last year, some 65% of the units have been sold.

The retail component will have 16 retail shops sized from 1,637 to 2,053 sq ft, and are priced from RM1.56 million each.

The target market for the residential properties is mainly the middle-income group, including first-time homebuyers, small families, young professionals who are working in Kuala Lumpur city centre as well as investors.

“It is important to be able to roll out projects that meet the increasing needs and demands of those with lean budgets, but who are looking to have a home in prime areas within the Klang Valley where they have ample access to work opportunities. We understand these market needs without compromising on the fundamentals of location, value for money, convenience and accessibility — that’s why MH Platinum 2 Residences was developed,” he says.

Facilities will include a gymnasium, entertainment hall, swimming pool, spa pool, barbecue area, sauna, jogging track, reflexology path, outdoor fitness area, yoga deck and cafeteria. The maintenance fee is 33 sen psf per month.

MH Platinum 2 Residences is located near amenities such as Giant Hypermarket Setapak, Setapak Central Mall, The Palette, AEON Alpha Angle, AEON BiG, Columbia Asia Hospital, SK Danau Kota, SJK(C) Wangsa Maju, Sri Utama International School, Tunku Abdul Rahman University College and VTAR Institute.

It is also easily accessible via Jalan Genting Kelang, Jalan Gombak, the Duta-Ulu Kelang Expressway and the Middle Ring Road 2.
