KUALA LUMPUR (March 9): Medical device provider Nexgram Holdings Bhd will offer services such as Covid-19 screening and sample processing to all registered members of the Malaysian Association of Employment Agencies (PAPA).

The group, through its subsidiary Associate Partners Laboratories Sdn Bhd (APLSB) — which provides medical laboratory testing and analytical services, as well as biotechnology research and experimental development — has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with PAPA.

This includes managing the process of the foreign workers' departure from the airport; overseeing the arrival process of the foreign workers at any of the Malaysian airports, including providing transportation services from the airport to the quarantine centre; and managing the process of checking in and out of the quarantine centre in Malaysia, including the handover process of these foreign workers to their respective authorised employers or agencies.

Nexgram said in a stock exchange filing on Wednesday (March 9) that NMED Bioscience Sdn Bhd is the shareholder of APLSB and holds 100% stake in the company.

The MoU is not expected to have a material impact on Nexgram's earnings per share, net assets per share, share capital and substantial shareholders' shareholding for the financial year ending July 31, 2022, it added.

At the time of writing on Wednesday, Nexgram was trading down half a sen or 33.33% at one sen, with a market value of RM44.17 million.
