KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 26): Oversea-Chinese Banking Corp Ltd (OCBC) and Great Eastern Holdings Limited have pared their holdings in Salcon Bhd (fundamental: 2.1; valuation: 3), thus ceasing to be substantial shareholders in the company.

In a Bursa Malaysia filing tonight, Salcon, which designs and operates municipal potable water, sewerage and industrial waste water facilities, said OCBC and Great Eastern had both disposed of 1.09 million shares.

Following the disposals, both OCBC and Great Eastern now hold 33.2 million shares or 4.98% deemed interest in the group.

Salcon shares closed 0.5 sen or 0.79% higher at 63.5 sen today, with a market capitalisation of RM423.23 million.
