KUALA LUMPUR (July 3): Hock Seng Lee Bhd (HSL) in Kuching, Sarawak is a prominent property development in the state. Its humble beginnings started out in sand dredging and landfill operations and over time, having acquired some land along the way, started their property development arm in August 2000. Since then, HSL has grown to develop a slew of projects that cover all price points and mainly landed properties.

However, according to executive director Tony Yu, plans are afoot to provide a greater variety of products while still giving the same quality and attention to detail HSL prides itself on.

Ongoing projects Yu and his team are busy with include its flagship project — the 200-acre La Promenade township development in Kota Samarahan; the 310-acre Samariang Aman 3 and the 200-acre Vista Industrial Park.

Future plans include development of high-rises and also providing affordable gated-and-guarded projects, so that those who may not normally buy into such a project due to the price, will have the opportunity to buy and stay in such a community.
