KUCHING (Dec 8): Following is the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) manifesto containing 34 promises for the 12th Sarawak State Election that was launched by Chief Minister and GPS president Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg on Wednesday.

GPS comprises Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB), Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS), Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) and Progressive Democratic Party (PDP).

  • Safeguard and Protect Sarawak's Rights in Accordance with the Federal Constitution, Malaysia Agreement 1963(MA63), the Sarawak State Constitution and the Sarawak State Laws
  • Guarantee Equal Rights of All Sarawakians
  • Recognise and Guarantee People's Rights to Native Customary Right (NCR) Land and Native Territorial Domain (NTD)
  • Propel Sarawak Towards High Income and Developed State by 2030
  • Reduce Income Disparity Through Creation of More Job Opportunities
  • Eradicate Urban and Rural Poverty
  • Provide More Affordable Houses, Kampung Extension Scheme (SPK), Resettlement Scheme (SPS), Assistance for Longhouses Construction and Repair Works
  • Propel Sarawak Economic Development Through Digital Economy Agenda
  • Strengthen Efforts to Protect and Conserve the Environment
  • Increase Sarawak Income and Sources of Revenue
  • Expand Road, Transport, Port and Airport Networks
