PETALING JAYA (July 9): Singapore-based developer Selo Group unveiled its US$45 million (RM188.6 million) Samãja Selo Private Residences located at the foot of the Twin Peaks of Gunung Semukut, near Mukut, on the southern part of Tioman Island.

Samãja Selo Private Residences is a joint venture project with Impiana Hotels Bhd, a leading hospitality company in Southeast Asia with business hotels, resorts, private villas and spas across Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia.

There are 23 units for sale by invitation, of which four are beachfront units starting from US$1.188 million and the remainder being hilltop units selling from US$388,000. Built-ups start from 450 square metres (sq m). The residences sit on 5.5 acres and each lot size measures between 1,006 sq m and 1,950 sq m. The project will be completed in 2023.

Selo Group CEO Andrew Corkey said in a statement: “Samãja Selo is a private lifestyle community curated for like-minded people who share common goals, interests and experiences in proactively pursuing wellness. We are excited that residents will soon have the opportunity to unwind in one of Asia’s most unique beachfront island destinations.”

According to Impiana Hotels Bhd’s executive chairman Datuk Seri Ismail Farouk Abdullah: “We trust (that) this partnership forged with Selo would bring out the best in the property and make it a popular holiday destination of choice in time to come. Impiana will also be sharing our resort management experience, hence this property shall be managed by Impiana Hotels & Resorts Management Sdn Bhd, the hospitality operating arm of the Impiana Group."

Samaja Selo Private Residences amenities include a pool, spa, wellness and fitness facilities, kids' club, multiple dining venues, a clubhouse and a yoga pavilion. Owners will have access to a diving centre, library, and co-working spaces, among other facilities. Moreover, there will be F&B choices with alfresco dining on the terrace at The Ocean Grill, as well as in an informal setting at The Beach Club, Pool & Cabana.
