KUALA LUMPUR (July 18): Once known for its tin-mining activities, the sleepy town of Kundang in Selangor’s Gombak district is becoming a viable residential market as improved connectivity and lower property prices attract more homebuyers to the area.

This has encouraged more property players to launch projects there, which has transformed the landscape of the area over the past few years.

Other than the existing Kuala Lumpur-Kuala Selangor Expressway, the area will also soon be connected to the upcoming West Coast Expressway.

Property consultants are optimistic about the prospects of Kundang, due to the improved accessibility provided by highways and the growing saturation levels in the neighbouring areas, especially with the demand for landed homes.

Read more about it in the latest City & Country, which is published in The Edge Malaysia weekly’s July 19 edition.
