Chinese developer Vanke Group officially launched the Vanke Experiential Hall (VEH) at Menara IMC, in Jalan Sultan Ismail, on March 7.

Federal Territories Minister Khalid Abdul Samad did the honours with Vanke senior vice-president Wang Haiwu, Vanke Malaysia managing director Lang Cong, and the Prime Minister’s Special Envoy to China Tan Kok Wai.

The VEH showcases the developer’s journey from its humble beginnings to its notable international success stories.

“The Vanke Experiential Hall is ... close to our hearts as it is Vanke Malaysia’s first introduction to Malaysians. We hope to contribute long-term to the country’s development and help build high-quality living spaces that will enrich the people’s lifestyles,” said Lang.

“In line with the ministry’s commitment to boost development, our focus remains with the six main thrusts of cleanliness, public safety, efficient transport, sustainable socio-economy, green surroundings and an inclusive community,” said Khalid.

He added that as Vanke Group emerges as one of China’s leading providers of rural and urban living services, he looks forward to learning more from Vanke Malaysia and the VEH about how the company will follow these principles to contribute to the development of Kuala Lumpur.

As Vanke Malaysia works to achieve its mission to bring communities together, supported by innovation and sustainability, visitors to the VEH will learn about the company’s solutions and its initiatives with local organisations such as the Tropical Rainforest Conservation & Research Centre, EcoKnights, Loka Made and Biji-Biji Initiative.

An interactive scale model will give visitors a sneak preview of Vanke’s inaugural project. According to news reports, the yet-to-be-named project has an estimated gross development value of RM5 billion and will have residential, retail and commercial components. It will be located on the seven-acre former Serani Row plot in Jalan Raja Chulan, close to the Bukit Nanas heritage zone and forest reserve.

Vanke was established in 1984 in Shenzhen, China, and has built a valued reputation for its quality, innovation and craftsmanship in property development.

To date, the developer has completed over 2,000 projects and has become China’s leading urban and rural development and living services provider.

By 2017, the developer had expanded internationally into Hong Kong, Singapore, London, New York, San Francisco, Moscow, and Seattle.
