Money is time and no one knows it better or lives by this truth more than corporate folks. Which is why these five time saving tips is bound to be handy before, during, and after your next meeting with your clients.

Research About Your Meeting Attendees
It's network strategy, professionalism, and flattery all combined neatly into one package. It shows the other party that you've made an effort by researching about them and are keen on building a good business relationship. And it doesn't hurt that you'll be armed with conversation starting pointers so you won't be wasting time trying to figure out who is who but rather dive straight into topics that matter.

Have Clear Objectives About the Agenda
If you're organizing the meeting, be sure to have a clear agenda when you're sending out the invitation and reminder email as well as repeating the objectives at the beginning of the meeting to help keep everyone on the same page. What it also means is less steering off the agenda and sticking to what is important. If you're not the organizer, don't feel shy to ask for the meeting objectives - the more you're prepared, the better.

Don't Look For The Address on the Day of the Event
This might seem too obvious but oh so many have been guilty of doing it. If your meeting invitation isn't clear about the venue, email them and ask for it immediately then add it to your Google Calendar which will remind you of the time and location of the event! If you're the organizer, be sure to make it very clear on the invite about the floor, building, and street name.

Don't Assume Everything is Crystal Clear.
Assumption is the mother of all….failures. So don't assume, if your clients leave the meeting in good spirits, that you've managed to get the message across. Always send a recap email to manage expectations and make sure the outcome of the meeting is realised otherwise it would turn out to be not just a waste of your time but everyone else's too.

A Change of Venue
The co-founder of Virgin Group Ltd, Richard Branson, wrote a piece on LinkedIn where he said "a change of scenery and a bit of fun does wonders for getting people thinking differently and loosening up!" Although this isn't a time saving tip, essentially a dull meeting with no exchange of ideas or actual decision making is time misused.
