One may have the best smartphone or the best laptop in the world, but nothing beats having an uninterrupted connectivity to the internet no matter where you are.

Across the globe, there are many types of Wi-Fi products and people are still pondering till today on which to choose in getting the best experience in terms of speed and connectivity.

But now, Huawei – the global leader in wireless network technology – has recently unveiled its latest AirEngine Wi-Fi 6 – the product that outperforms any other Wi-Fi 6 products in the industry by integrating its own innovative 5G and AI (artificial intelligence) technologies.

On February 20, Huawei unveiled 10 new Wi-Fi 6 access point (AP) models which belongs to three different series: AirEngine 8700, AirEngine 6700, and AirEngine 5700. These 10 APs cover an extensive range of indoor and outdoor scenarios.

Industry 4.0 is here, and companies that are looking for an effective digital transformation should look at turning to the Huawei AirEngine Wi-Fi 6 as it offers the top-notch Wi-Fi solutions for any enterprise of any scale.

How? With the three distinctive characteristics which are lightning speed, always-on mobility, and 100 Mbps @ everywhere.

More powerful than ever, Huawei’s AirEngine Wi-Fi 6 has integrated multiple cutting-edge 5G technologies to the Wi-Fi network.

Not just that, in high-density terminal access scenarios, such as office spaces, conference rooms, stadiums, terminal buildings and stations, each terminal can obtain stable 100 Mbps anytime, anywhere.

Basically, they are ideally suited to build all-wireless high-quality networks for enterprise office, production, and public service scenarios.

Compliant with Wi-Fi 6 standards, the AirEngine Wi-Fi 6 products stand out for their remarkable innovations in antenna, baseband, and radio algorithm technologies.

By deploying these products, enterprises can experience lightning speed mobile offices (more than 10 Gbps), smooth mobile operations with zero packet loss, and 100 Mbps network access anytime, anywhere.

Designed with the industry's largest number of spatial streams of 16 in total, the AirEngine Wi-Fi 6, therefore, achieves an air-interface data rate of up to 10.75 Gbps, nearly twice the industry average of 5.95 Gbps. With this, it enables fiber-like network experience for heavy-traffic services such as AR/VR and 4K/8K video.

To help enterprises connect key services to Wi-Fi networks seamlessly, Huawei AirEngine Wi-Fi 6 uses industry-unique smart antennas for more stable coverage.

Compared with other Wi-Fi 6 products in the industry, Huawei AirEngine Wi-Fi 6 doubles the signal strength, delivers 20% greater coverage distance, and ensures no signal degradation at the edge.

Moreover, the AirEngine Wi-Fi 6 utilises the first-of-its-kind Dynamic Turbo technology – an intelligent application acceleration technology – to achieve ultra-low 10 ms latency, which is half the industry's average of 20 ms. This means it makes VR, AR, and HD videos more stable than ever.

Additionally, Huawei's unique lossless roaming technology ensures zero-packet loss for key services during roaming, and achieves a roaming success rate of 100%, delivering more stable and smooth experience of office applications such as video conferencing and voice calls for users on the move

With Lossless Roaming deployed in automated guided vehicle (AGV) scenarios, AGVs can roam seamlessly between Aps (access points) with zero packet loss, effectively ensuring 24/7 stable operations of the production network, said Huawei.

AI-powered intelligent radio calibration, boosting performance by 58%

Huawei AirEngine APs have independent radio probes that enable greater precision in detecting environment data. These APs can collaborate with iMaster NCE-CampusInsight — an intelligent O&M system — to proactively detect environment changes and intelligently optimize network-wide experience, improving device performance up to 58%.

Redefining connectivity for everyone

As digital transformation is making headways around the globe, it is unsurprising that more companies are utilising digital technologies to innovate services, improve user experience and enhance operational efficiency. Not just enterprises, but the education sector as well.

Huawei Wi-Fi 6 has been ranked Number One in the global market (excluding North America), according to a report on the global Wi-Fi 6 indoor AP market share from the third quarter of 2018 to the third quarter of 2019 by Dell'Oro Group, a leading independent market analysis and research firm.

Tam Dell'Oro, the Founder and CEO of Dell'Oro Group, said the Wi-Fi 6 industry is beginning to ramp up significantly as the market moves from early adopters of new technology to the mass-market in 2020.

“Manufacturers are now rolling out second-generation Wi-Fi 6 technology and passing along the rich features at prices not much higher than Wi-Fi 5 or Wi-Fi 4 products,” he said.

In this report, Huawei shares various case studies from its clients and how the Huawei AirEngine Wi-Fi 6 has helped its clients in different sectors with their digital transformation.

First of all, APT Satellite Company Limited (APT Satellite), a listed company in Hong Kong Stock Exchange, is a leading satellite operator in the Asia Pacific region. It provides satellite coverage for more than 75% of the world's population via high-performance in-orbit satellites.

After upgrading to Huawei’s AirEngine Wi-Fi 6, APT Satellite’s multi-screen office experience has been dramatically improved, said Huawei, noting that employees can now access the office network, office system, and production system at anytime and from anywhere, increasing overall work efficiency and mobility.

In terms of security control, which is important in this day and age, Huawei’s next-generation Software-Defined Network (SDN) controller — the iMaster NCE Campus — is used to associate the Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) Access Controller (AC) with the firewall, anti-virus, and online behavior analysis systems, to flexibly manage user rights and enterprise data resources. This allows wired and wireless security policies of internal personnel to be unified, with unified authentication on the network, said Huawei.

It seems like Huawei is also set to radically empower the education scene. Tunisia’s Esprit University is one of the universities that Embraces Smart Education with Huawei’s AirEngine Wi-Fi 6, in line with the “Tunisia Digital 2020” strategy.

As Esprit University's scale increases year after year, network devices in existing teaching buildings, lecture halls, and stadiums were quickly being rendered outdated, simply unable to meet the requirements of innovative education for campus networks.

With the AirEngine Wi-Fi 6, Esprit will be able to introduce advanced technologies — such as Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and 4K video — to deliver superior teaching experiences over the next three to five years.

Moving forward, it is inevitable that the Wi-Fi 6 can be flexibly and smoothly scaled to support varied modern teaching applications.
