Graduate with three qualifications rather than one at Henley Business School, University of Reading Malaysia

Are you interested in a head start to a global career in accounting, finance, real estate or business?

The renowned Henley Business School at the University of Reading’s Malaysia campus, would be the ideal place to start.

Established in 1945, Henley is one of the oldest business schools in Europe and is among an elite group of business schools to be triple accredited by global leaders — AACSB International, EQUIS and the Association of MBAs.

Located at the University of Reading’s stunning new Malaysia campus in Educity, Iskandar Johor, Henley now offers students the best of both worlds — the opportunity to study for a prestigious UK business degree, following a UK curriculum, at a significantly lower cost compared with going to the UK.

“For those interested in accounting and finance”, Professor of Business Enterprise & Analytics, Head of Henley Business School Malaysia  Eng Teck Yong says “Henley has partnered the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) — one of the industry’s most respected professional bodies — in a unique collaboration called the Henley-ICAEW Programme (HIP).

“With HIP, students graduate with three qualifications rather than one. They will not only receive a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Accounting and Finance degree from Henley, they will also obtain the ICAEW Certificate in Finance, Accounting and Business (CFAB), and the ICAEW Business and Finance Professional (BFP) designations, which can be used after their names.”

Prof Eng: Henley’s BSc Real Estate is ranked No1 in the UK for property management

Students at Henley will also benefit from a full 12-month work placement in Year 3, where they gain valuable work experience and are put on a fast track to ICAEW ACA chartered status.

“Another popular choice at Henley would be the BSc in Finance and Business Management.

“Its modules cover finance specialisations such as International Financial Accounting, Corporate Finance, Portfolio Management, Derivatives and Securities. Students will develop skills in financial trading, using trading simulation software, in our state-of-the-art dealing room, a one-of-a-kind in Malaysia. Other core subjects of business management such as Marketing, International Business and Organisational Behaviour are also studied”, says Eng.

“Henley’s BSc Real Estate is ranked No 1 in the UK for property management”, he says. Real estate is the world’s largest asset class and there is a significant demand for qualified real estate professionals in areas such as real estate investment, asset management, property management, valuation and consulting.

“Our students will benefit from our close ties with industry partners such as JLL, Savills and CBRE, and many receive multiple job offers upon graduation. Qualified real estate professionals would also have global career options with an RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) recognition”.

“If you are an SPM holder, we would recommend that you enrol in the University of Reading’s International Foundation Programme (IFP) and complete the foundation in business which allows you to progress directly to Henley. Intakes for the IFP are in April and September. “Alternatively, you can apply for direct entry into our undergraduate programmes with a foundation in business, A-levels or other suitable qualification”, says Eng. Henley’s direct entry intakes are in September and January.
