The current Covid-19 pandemic has not only taught people to understand the various types of sanitizer available in the market but has also created awareness among many the importance of our indoor air quality to reduce risk of infections.

The market has been flooded with large amount of sanitizing agents of various brands, with alcohol-based and chemical-based products being the more commonly used as their price points are much friendlier, however, the general public are now becoming more discerning and understand the efficacy of each product in different environments as well as the drawbacks of these alcohol and chemical-based products which might include adverse effects on the quality of the lives of their family members.

SAN-AIR, a household brand in Australia for air purification and sanitization over the past 12 years is fast becoming a global leader in this space and has been well adopted by airports and public transport authorities, museum and indoor public space owners, retail space managers, as well as multinational corporations across America, Africa, Europe and Asia.

SAN-AIR is formulated deliberately as an evaporative gel which evaporates slowly into the air stream, spreading to all corners of the indoor air environment giving it a 24/7 protection. As the actives encounter airborne and surface germs, it stops their ability to breathe and reproduce. The SAN-AIR V3R Reactive Gel has been independently tested at the University of New South Wales and proven its ability to reduce airborne contaminants by 78% within 10 minutes, becoming the world’s first air purifier to have its effectiveness against airborne Covid-19 tested and validated.

“I always believe that the air we breathe is as important as the blood that flows in our veins, and I am truly elated that we are able to formulate this new product where we are able to reduce not only airborne contaminants but also the airborne coronavirus effectively,” said Daniel Massaioli, the founder of SAN-AIR Australia Pty. Ltd.

Nominated by the Australian Institute of Refrigeration, Air-conditioning and Heating (AIRAH) for Australia’s Best Product of the Year 2021 Award, SAN-AIR range of products are now available in the Malaysian market since April 2021 and has been adopted by various major corporations such as Sabah State Administrative Office, Sawit Kinabalu Berhad, AirAsia Berhad, AMBank Berhad, Petronas,Secret Recipe and Healthland in just over this short period of time. It is now widely used in hospitals, factories, hotels, retail outlets, offices and of course homes of many Malaysians.

“We have solutions for all,” says Alan Hoo, Managing Director of Equal Bridge Sdn Bhd, the principal for SAN-AIR in the region, “from household to large commercial Air Handling Units, from surface to indoor air to personal space sanitization, we have all the solution to meet your needs, and the best thing about SAN-AIR is that it is made from plants extract, is food grade certified and certified for household and commercial use by Therapeutics Goods of Australia (TGA).”

“SAN-AIR is an amazing product, it is toxic free, made with 100% natural actives and sustainable and I have been using it at my center to protect my patients, my staffs and myself from harmful microbes,” adds Dr Mohamed Noortheen A. Mustafa, a renowned orthopaedic surgeon and environmentalist at Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur.

Apart from the range of products that treats the surface as well as the indoor air, there is also a range of lifestyle products called SAN-WEAR that utilizes the SAN-AIR proprietary blend of essential oil to give one personal space protection. These SAN-WEAR items come with attractive accessories such as pendants for men and women, bracelets, slap-ons for kids as well as mask buttons and lanyard pins. A drop of the SAN-AIR Premium Purifying oils into the felt held by these accessories will help provide a safer space for its user for up to a day.

Although SAN-AIR products are seen as an effective product to combat the Covid-19 viruses, its main strength is its microbial control technology will help to fight mould, fungus, bacteria and odour issues globally and with rapid global demand growth and its product potential, SAN-AIR has recently penned a Memorandum of Understanding with Tree-med to invest RM46.7 million to develop and manufacture SAN-AIR products here and sales are expected to exceed the RM 100 million mark for this region over the next few years.
