KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 1): Awanbiru Technology Bhd (Awantec) said it has secured a contract worth RM75.89 million to provide Google Workspace Solution services to Pernec Integrated Network Systems Sdn Bhd.

The contract spans a little over 26 months to Feb 13, 2024, with an option for a two-year extension, Awantec said in a bourse filing.

The group said it will provide Google Workspace Solution, including implementation, deployment and support services for a unified communication and collaborative service managed by Pernec.

This is the fourth contract announced this year by Awantec. It had secured a three-year contract with the Ministry of Education worth RM22.78 million for software supply in July.

Before that in May, it signed a service agreement with Menteri Besar Selangor (Pemerbadanan) for a RM50 million contract in relation with the Selangor Kerjaya Programme.

Also in May, the group was appointed by the Malaysian Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit (MAMPU) for the provision of Cloud Services to Malaysia’s public sector agencies for a three-year period.

Shares of Awantec were half a sen or 0.72% higher at 3.30pm on Wednesday (Dec 1), giving the group a market capitalisation of RM548.2 million.
