Sime Darby Property’s Elmina Valley Five (EV5) was almost entirely taken up on the first day of its launch on March 23. Only four corner units are still available for sale.

The general manager of Business Unit 1, Appollo Leong, says this is proof that quality homes in good locations and at the right price are still in demand despite the challenging market conditions.

“We are humbled and proud of this reception. Homes in the City of Elmina have always been a hit and today’s result proves it again. Our initial plan was to launch only 92 units in Phase 1 but due to the 100% take-up within a few hours, we decided to open up all 168 units,” says Leong in a press statement on March 24.

“EV5 is part of a well-connected township situated next to the iconic Elmina Central Park, a 300-acre park of which 36 acres have been completed. Our homes have great architecture, beautiful and practical designs, and are definitely value for money.”

Phase 2 of EV5 homes, comprising 205 two-storey homes, will be launched next month.

In total, EV5 offers 373 two-storey link homes in a freehold development within City of Elmina.

The built-ups range from 2,330 to 3,541 sq ft, and the project has a gross development value of RM319.4 million. Selling prices start at RM816,199 after the sales rebate and before the bumiputera discount. Purchasers are also eligible for stamp duty exemption for property purchases up to RM1 million before June 30 as part of the National Home Ownership Campaign 2019.

EV5 homes feature large built-up areas and an open-plan layout, allowing flexibility in the usage of interior spaces. The homes are designed with large windows for abundant natural lighting and come with elderly and disabled-friendly  features such as ramps, a spacious bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor, low-height switches and pocket sliding doors. The houses are also fitted with stone wool roof insulation, quality timber flooring and built-in a alarm system.

Sime Darby Property has delivered 1,282 homes in the Elmina Valley precinct in the last three years and EV5 is the last component.

There are five distinct themed parks within the 300-acre Elmina Central Park and a 90km cycling and jogging track, one of the longest in the country.
