KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 5): Energy solution provider T7 Global Bhd’s 60% unit T7 Kilgour Sdn Bhd has secured multiple purchase orders from overseas manufacturers to provide metal surface treatment services for aerospace parts.

In a statement today, T7 Global said T7 Kilgour in July 2021 received the orders from Global Tek Fabrication Co Ltd and C.C.S. Advance Tech Co Ltd in relation to non- destructive testing, anodise, passivate, paint and part mark aerospace parts services.

The statement did not reveal how much were the orders but noted that they are expected to contribute positively towards T7 Global’s earnings and net assets per share for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2021 (FY21).

T7 Global executive director and head of aerospace and defence division Tan Kay Vin said the company is pleased to be working with Global Tek and C.C.S. for the provision of metal surface treatment services for aerospace parts, and looks forward to a long-term collaboration.

“Global Tek and C.C.S. are two global aerospace parts manufacturers. Despite the pandemic, which caused delays in our approval process, we managed to work it out with the authorities and customers, and we are seeing increasing orders from these customers.

“In addition, this paves the way for other metal surface treatment services for different industries, [namely] non-aerospace, as Global Tek and C.C.S. also supply to non-aerospace customers from the automotive and industrial sectors,” he said.

Taiwan Stock Exchange-listed Global Tek is principally involved in precision machining and manufacturing, and provides total solution services for the aviation, automotive and industrial sectors.

C.C.S., headquartered in Thailand,  is involved in computer numerical control turning and machining, precision manufacturing, metal stamping and plastic moulding. It has a global clientele in the businesses of electronics, semiconductors, computer parts, hard disk component manufacturing, fibre optics, biomedical, automotive and aerospace original equipment manufacturer (OEM) manufacturing.

At the time of writing today, T7 Global was up half a sen at 34 sen, giving it a market capitalisation of RM212 million.
