KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 3): Tenby Schools Setia Eco Park (Tenby SEP) recently launched "The Tenby Wishing Tree" project to support charities close to the school community.

In a statement, it said the Tenby Schools Parents' Association at Setia Eco Park (TSPA) had selected four different homes — Sai Pandian, Rumah Kebajikan Rita, CP Cradle Love Park and Rumah KIDS — located close to the school for the purpose.

Tenby SEP said the idea behind the initiative is to grant simple wishes to those living within the homes and highlight the need for cash donations.

TSPA lead for the project Sasha Wee said the project could not have been a success without a collaborative and whole-school approach.

Wee said Tenby SEP had also collaborated with Drop & Wash, an accredited social enterprise by the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives, in their #ProjekFood4B40 initiative to offer relief to those in need following the Covid-19 pandemic.

She said a target of 250 "Boxes of Hope" comprising food and essential provisions was achieved for the bottom 40% income group (B40) and refugee communities and selected welfare homes within the Shah Alam and Klang area.
